Friends of Tower Hill

Friends of Tower Hill is a group of volunteers working to preserve and enhance the conservation values of Tower Hill Reserve in south-west Victoria, Australia. Members meet regularly to plant trees, shrubs and grasses, remove weeds and maintain revegetated areas.

About Tower Hill

Tower Hill is a unique nested maar, an extinct volcano created some 25,000 years ago.
It is situated between  Warrnambool and Port Fairy, some 275km west of Melbourne. The town of Koroit is on the northern flanks of Tower Hill, which is  about 4km wide and 90m high.
Tower Hill is contained within the Tower Hill  State Game Reserve. 
Tower Hill has long been recognised as a significant geological feature and important refuge for native animals within its revegetated 417ha.
